Title :Repair u’re Mindset

Medium : HDPE, PET, LDPE, Installation; Sideboards, Poster, Plastic Works, Tables and Chairs in scrap wood.

This work emerges from an unease surrounding the escalating ecological crisis that threatens the planet, where plastic and waste have become symbols of the paradox of modern civilisation, instant yet destructive. Art is positioned not as a passive object, but as a participatory space that invites viewers to engage in critical reflection (Arnold Berleant). The work functions as a metaphorical site of interaction, where people share stories through various forms of everyday conversation and social gathering.

The use of recycled furniture represents a reimagined relationship between humans and the environment, one that is not exploitative, but symbiotic. Through the lens of object-oriented ontology (OOO), plastic materials are understood not as inert matter, but as active agents that shape reality. Sitting on recycled furniture becomes a bodily reminder that every material choice carries ecological consequences.

This work operates as a modest manifesto, proposing a shift in awareness from anthropocentrism towards ecocentrism. Through an upcycling aesthetic, the work offers not only visual appeal, but also reveals the hidden ecological traces embedded in everyday consumption. At the same time, it challenges the masculine hierarchies of industrial production. mass manufacture, exploitation, and disposal, by inviting audiences to sit, reflect, and assume collective responsibility.
