Annisa Fitri Yusuf M.Pd.
Annisa Fitri Yusuf is an artist, writer, and arts manager based in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. She actively initiates a wide range of art programmes rooted in social, environmental, and local identity issues across Kalimantan and the wider Borneo region. Her involvement in cross-disciplinary artistic practice has positioned her as a key figure in shaping the contemporary art ecosystem along the Indonesia–Malaysia–Brunei borderlands. As the founder and Director of Art Borneo, Annisa leads an annual initiative that brings together artists from all three countries in the spirit of cross-cultural collaboration and regional connectivity. The programmes she directs emphasise the importance of inter-community networks and the reactivation of local knowledge through curatorial and experimental approaches.
Beyond her work with Art Borneo, Annisa is also recognised as one of the driving forces behind the art collective Emehdeyeh, and she is involved in various arts education projects such as the Gerakan Seniman Masuk Sekolah (GSMS) programme, where she contributes as a teaching artist in literacy and performing arts. In 2024, she was part of the national initiative Indonesia Bertutur in Ubud, Bali, serving as the project manager for the animated film AYA Batang Garing. Through her work, Annisa continues to advocate for safe and inclusive spaces for diverse artistic expression in Kalimantan, while fostering meaningful connections between traditional heritage and contemporary art practice.
